Steve is a generative artist and YouTuber making gen art how-to videos. His mission is to empower gen artists to share their gold with the world. As a generative artist, he writes code, and then the code makes an infinite amount of art, with some random elements. It is not AI art. He founded the Madison Museum of Art & Technology in his Wisconsin hometown. In his day job, Steve provides accounting services for nonprofits. He likes to read sci-fi and mysteries. Steve lives near Madison, WI, USA with his wife and their two teenagers.

Sadly, several of the renderings are broken. At this writing (July 2026) fxhash is not working, and my newer projects created with params are not rendering correctly on objkt. You can see the correct thumbnails on objkt, but the code is rendering using default parameters instead of the user-selected parameters. This is true for everything from September 2023 (Collisions) to present. fxhash projects prior to that appear to be rendering correctly on objkt. The Artgene projects (String Theory and Cheery Quilts) are not rendering at all, but you can still view the thumbnails. If you own a String Theory or Cheery Quilts, reach out to me and we can work on a replacement piece. For fxhash, I want to wait and see if they come back.
